Welcome to DroppedDTuning.com!I Got Something To Say! We all have something to say. Starting September 15, 2009 you can participate in an online discussion about bands and musicians. Hear from musicians that are out securing gigs at local clubs, bars, festivals, and other venues. Discuss what works and what is not working. How is the economy impacting all of our efforts? Band vs. Solo - why make the leap or stay in the group? My musician buddies and I will be jumping into these discussions in the next few weeks. It should be interesting given the wide variety of musicans and their not-so-reserved opinions. What is Dropped D Tuning? Dropped D tuning is a simple tuning you'll hear used on lots of currents out there. Simple in that all you need to do is tune down your lowest E string one full step to D. Leave the rest of the strings alone, and voila you have dropped d tuning - not to be confused with other alternative hybrids of droppedd tuning - where you tune down all your strings half or a whole step.
